Description

Lumière originated from an accidental moment.
One afternoon, the sky was covered with clouds, and light poured through the gaps between them. That scene became the starting point of this work.

Using light and shadow as metaphors, the project explores human vulnerability, imperfection, and authenticity through the combination of nude photography and poetic text. Just as clouds allow light to reveal itself, the fractures and shadows within us are what make it possible for light to be seen.

Between image and text, Lumière attempts to reflect on a state of coexistence — where light and shadow, vulnerability and courage, love and scars all exist within life at the same time.

This photobook also serves as a commemoration of the ten-year relationship between photographer LIKUANYEE and the subject of the work, Peifu. Through these images, I attempt to capture the emotions and moments that have slowly settled over time.
